Stanley Cup Finals Rematch from Last Year, PENS VS WINGS

Well,

The Stanley Cup Finals are tonight. The hardest trophy to win in sports today. It's too bad that it has to end for the season tonight. Oh well, next year is our year boys! (TML) Yeah right, haha. I give them 2-3 more years and they'll have their team tight and skills ready to win the cup for themselves. As for tonight though, GO PENS GO!!!

Well it's been the end of the first period, and nothing really has happened. It's the end of the first period in Detroit and the score is 7 million to 1 for Pitsburgh. Yeah right, I wish, haha. No it's Zero all, but that doesnt mean it wasn't entertaining, lots of changes on both sides and hitting is always fun to watch. what i like most is Fleury is playing his best in the playoffs yet tonight. He sure picked the right day to stop all the shot. Hopefully something more productive will happen in the second period. Otherwise I'll have to do something else, like go on MSN and chirp all my friends about how the LA Lakers are going to win the NBA Championship this year. It's about time, and Dwight Howard doesn't have a chance against Kobe Bryant. (my favourite player) Good luck Lakers too!

Well it is now the end of the second period and the score is not 2-0 for the Pitsburgh Penguins. I'll tell you what though, the Red Wings and their home crowd aren't as happy about this as I am, but they dont have to worry about me. Max Talbot is the hero tonight. He scored both goals on Chris Osbad, i mean Osgood of course. The first one was more luck than skill because in the clearing attempt the Wings deffenseman tried to dump it out, but it deflected off Evgeni Malkin and went right to Talbots stick where he scored. The second goal was more of a skilled shot though, he skated with it to the top of the circle and shot it right over Osgoods glove for an amazing top shelf second goal. I hope he gets a hat trick. It's funny that Talbot scored the only two goals in the game so far because earlier on in the playoffs Malkin actually jokingly said that Talbot had "Bad Hands".

WOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!! It's the end of that game. The final score was 2-1 for Pitsburgh, and Detroit almost tied it up at the last second possible but Fleury dove accross the crease like a mad man! Blocking the shot and saving the win for the Pitsburgh Penguins. I kind of feel sorry for Marian Hossa though. He lost last year in game six when he was on the Pens, and this year he signed a deal with Detroit thinking that he would've won but he lost to his own team. Two years in a row he lost in the finals. Should've just stayed with his team. Thats what i wouldve done anyways. I like Malkin and Crosby. Hell after tonights performance i like the whole damn team. All except Hal Gill of course. He doesn't deserve to hoist the Cup over his head and kiss it like the rest of them. He's just a big bum. He doesn't contribute to the team at all. When you think about it if they didnt have him, they wouldve done just fine anyways, or better. I also dont like him because i went from the Leafs to the Pens to win the Cup. But oh well, Congradulations to the rest of the team. I have to remember to save the front page of the Sports section in the news tomorow. This is something to put on my wall.

Pokemon? or a kids pathway to drugs and bad habbits?

Well, this blog topic all started when my niece was playing pokemon on her Nintendo DS. Sure it's good for her reading and such, but she's only six. So the other day she called me and asked me to come over and help her with something in her game. I figured I'd be able to fix things, or help her out because i used to love playing pokemon games myself when i was her age, so i rode my bike over to her place. When i got there she asked me what Blue Tabs, Sugar Cubes, and Tiny Mushrooms were. So I thought to myself...Extacy, LSD/Acid and Shrooms. I couldnt believe where she got that from, so i looked at where she needed help with in her game and sure enough, she needed a blue tab, a sugar cube and tiny mushrooms in order to get passed someone blocking the way. So i went into the nearest "Poke-Mart" and it was like a 70's retro style place, with a guy with stoner glasses and stuff. Sure enough he sold me the "ingredients" or in my opinion drugs, and i got her passed the guy. Now luckily she is only six. and doesn't know what drugs are yet. But what if I had heard of that growing up, and playing those video games? I was the type of kid that would look up what things were when i was little. If i didn't understand something i would google it. What if i had gotten into drugs at a young age, because of Pokemon.

What I'm trying to say is, sure Pokemon is fun when you're growing up. However the makers of the games, should think before they put something of that detail in there. I can't think of anything else more wrong then to see a bounch of kids, maybe not six years old, but 10-13 or 14, doing drugs, and saying, well my friends did it in Pokemon, my Charizard gobbled them up and he was fine. I just hope that people start figuring out what they're doing to kids in the society these days.

Blogging Bogus

This is a blog about not liking to do blogs.

Hurray, it's finally the end of the school year, looking forward to summer more than anything.
Finally i don't have to deal with Mr. Puley's Blogs anymore, no offense to Puley, because he rocks as a teacher, but I HATE doing these blogs. I find they're just a big waste of time, but i guess they just take up more time than studying, but whatever. That still doesn't change my opinion on blogs.

Yeah, this blog was pretty much just to discuss my hatred towards blogs.

booo for blogs!

Much Music Trip

The trip to the National Film Board was pretty fun. I learned alot about stop motion animation, which is pretty cool i guess, but I don't think I'd do anything with my knowledge about it now. It seems like too much time and effort for me to even complete one short film. I'd take somewhere between 8 and 10 years to finish just one, yet the professionals take up to 6 years.

After the Film Board, we had an hour and fifteen minutes to just chill and such. So what to do on break with a group of six? Lets go eat! So we did. we went to Jack Astors and had a fantastic meal. Al is a tank at eating, but you don't know who Al is, but that doesn't really matter because I'll probably never talk to him again. But i had a delish, beer battered fish and chips.

Moving onto Much Music. We saw Much On Demand (MOD), it was pretty cool, but we had to listen to them alot, there was lots of instructions and i thought it was just gonna be live on the show, we cheer when we want, and such. But we actually had to do what they said to show crowd publicity. It was a pretty stupid headlining event of the show too, cutting Tim Deegans hair. WOW, what a waste of time. If only we had a musical guest or an artist interview.

All in all though, it was a pretty fun trip, i would like to go again, MAYBE! Because it might seem boring doing the same stuff over and over again.

Where In The World Is Osama Bin Laden?

Many are asking the U.S. government, how exactly, do you lose, and not be able to find, the most wanted man in all of the world? ...No seriously, i need an answer..like now!

O.K., so here's the thing, in Media class we're watching this movie called, "Where In The World Is Osama Bin Laden", it's got that guy from that documentary, "Supersize Me" (Morgan Spurlock). He's actually pretty jokes but anyways, throughout the first half of the movie, I myself, am begining to wonder, where the hell is he? Now as disappointed as i am, that he hasn't found Osama yet, I'm fairly glad with what has went down as of recent. He's gotten so many different answers, and still nobody is giving him a specific area, or place that he is.

So finally, people start telling him where to go. He get led to a sign. The sign says if anyone that isn't a Talaban member, will be killed on site. So instead of risking his life, so he could possibly find the most wanted man in America, and earn 25, 000, 000 dollars while doing it. He decides to head on home, and tend to his pregnant wife, and wait for his new born child. Which is completely understandable, but what i don't understand is, he wanted to find Osama, he found where pretty much everyone pointed out where he would be, and he goes back to America, and still nobody has found Osama Bin Laden. Why the hell did he not tell somebody, or anyone from the U.S. government go and get him, or look for him? They pretty much know exactly where he is, yet they hesitate to go and find him? Thats just stupid. Completely and utterly stupid. Are they too affraid to go find him, if so what are they affraid of?

Let me know what you think!

Parking Tickets or Parking Lame...ickets ??

I Personally don't see a point in parking tickets, and parking meters. Sure some people my want a clear place infront of their store or home. But correct me if I'm wrong. Would you not want a car infront of your store? It makes it seem like someone is in there, buying stuff, so people may want to try it out, if its a restaurant, or is its a hardware store, try some of your products. Get some business rollin' you know what I'm sayin' ;)

Now suppose you are the lonely type, the type who barely has anyone over, sure maybe you like your privacy, but what if people are talking about you right? What is the gossip girl accross the street, is planning a party and you're not invited because you are a loner and nobody likes you. Then to get in their face, let people park infront of your home, screw it. They'll be all having fun, look accross the street, look you have the lights on! You have people over! You aren't "Mr. Loner Man" that everyone talks shit about anymore. You rule dude or dudette! But really you fooled them. Nobody is there, but you're having fun at home, playing solitaire and whatnot, by yourself.

You see there are many Pro's and Con's to any topic. Feel free to give me your honest opinions and i will do my best to comment back nicely. :)

Rihanna- Battered, Beaten, and Maried?!?!?

Millions all over the world were shocked to here that the glamorous couple of Rihanna and Chris Brown were not showing up the the Grammy awards on February 8th 2009. Later that week, an image from a police report was leaked all over the internet and the news. The picture was of Rihanna, but it wasn't just a normal picture. It was a picture of her with bruises and cuts all over. Chris Brown was convicted to be the one that beat her to within an inch of her life.

Now I'm not sure on how TMZ got the picture fromt he police files, but i sure as hell know it wasn't fair to Rihanna to put a picture of her up ont he internet. I mean sure she is the hip-hop goddess, but nobody deserves to have people judge her from her battered and beaten photo. There are an estimated 4.8 million domestic violence attacks on women a year, yet they decide to invade Rihanna's privacy because she is the one that everybody cares about. Notice how when Rihanna comes into the spotlight all beautiful and such, everyone cares. Notice how when Rihanna comes into the spotlight looking like she had just been his by a train, everyone still cares. Plus the police get involved right away. Now try to notice how when every other woman gets abused in the world today. Look how nobody gives a shit. Well I give a shit, I think it's stupid. Am I really the only one, to care about others, instead of celebrities. Sure seems like it.

So now, Rihanna and Chris Brown are married? When the fuck did this happen? That's probably the stupidest thing i've ever heard in my whole entire life. First, she hates him for beating her face in, and biting her. Then second, she gets the police involved, he gets arrested, and suddenly her record sales go up because peopel feel sorry for her misfortune, and finally now, she's getting back together, and married to chris brown? Oh my lord, people need to fuckign think once in a while. Was this just a plan to make more sympathy cash for their wedding?

UPDATE

Now apparently Rihanna is dating fellow hip-hop artist Drake. If you don't know him for his music such as, "I'm Still Fly" and "Brand New Remix ft. Lil Wayne", then you might know him as the guy who got shot or guy in the wheelchair on the hit Canadian TV show, Digrassi. Yes, this rapper/ actor has been seen in many places with Rihanna, and they're currently on the same record label. On the other side of things, nobody has really asked Rihanna about him, and there was only one interview with Drake where he said they were "Tight". Now I'm not too sure what that's supposed to mean but perhaps in the near future they will come out and tell us if the rumors are true. In other news about Rihanna, she is still going to court in the battle against Chris brown, so it is safe to say that they are offically over and the beautiful Rihanna is livign the single life as we know it. Good luck Drake. ;)

Tell me your thoughs.

Copyrighting Crap!

Well this here is my 2nd blog and it's one that im not too happy about. In my opinion copyrighting sucks. ALOT. I mean sure people do have the rights to have full ownership over their own work, but when people are paying respect to them, it shouldnt matter too much because more than 50 % of the time people that like the new version will listen to the old version too.

My friend Curt and I have been making videos and uploading them to Youtube for our friends, and hopefully one day we can make a living off of it. But stupid copywriting laws have banned two of our videos from Youtube. One is called Steroid drink, it is about a young man who got beat up due to jealousy for he had a much cooler haircut than the one who was beating him up. Heres where the copyrighting comes into play. We were forced to either take down our video or risk having a video with no sound because the director for the movie "Team America- World Police" apparently copyrighted the song entitled "Montage" and it was in our video so Youtube wouldn't allow it. So 200 views seems like alot to us back then, and quite frankly we were pissed. Another incident was recently, we had uploaded a video just under a month ago called, "Look What I Found!" It's a Rick Rolled video. Unlike most i actually like a good rick roll. Now, getting back to the point, we got an notification email so we were like, oh shit, not this again. We logged on, not only to see, what else but an personal message from Youtube Service. It stated we had some sort of audio visual content from Rick Astley's song "Never Gonna Give You Up" which is the song that identifies that you have just been Rick Rolled. The song is owned and licensed by Sony Music Entertainment so they are letting us keep the video as long as we have ads from google on the page of our video and in a little space underneath our video tags and discription, it says, "Contains Content From: Rick Astley Offical Channel. Not that big of a deal you may think. But wouldnt you be mad if somebody took credit from your video that you tried to create for fool and make people laugh? I know i would, and was. [1]

In Conclusion, the copyright law is acceptable obviously, but i still don't see why you need to state the obvious on someones video that is paying repect to you anyways. Without Rick Rolling, I'm not sure that Rick Astley would even be as famous as he is today.

Gimme More Britney Spears!

As Britney Spears got older and more popular, people started asking, "What will she do next?". News people and paparazzi were shocked when they realized they could be a part of history, and a ton of cash while taking pictures of a surprising disaster in media history.

After her meltdown, the 2007 MTV Music Video Awards was supposed to be her "comeback" performance. But it didn't turn out the way anyone expected because people thought it was going to be really good, top of the charts material like all of her other performances in the past. People expected this performance to help her glide away from all the nasty incidents from the past years such as her shaving her head, getting numerous tattoos, and the custody battle between her and her ex-husband Kevin Federline. Unfortunately her performance was considered a train wreck and critics and paparazzi bashed her for her singing, her dancing and her body.

I for one, ultimately don't think it was right of them to judge her and call her fat because she's not really fat, just bigger than she used to be, but i do agree on the bad performance part of it. Britney Spears is on the top of the charts for many songs she sang but it would be hard to tell from this performance. The focus on her body image over her performance definitely gives an image of a cruel, harsh society that we live in. Nobody and I mean nobody, deserves to be treated like she got treated.

As the paparazzi used Britney Spears to make money, they also use many other celebrities and sometimes invade their privacy. Some celebrities are "fighting back" against the paparazzi to protect their privacy. I don't think its right that they are fighting for their privacy because they chose to be in the spotlight as their occupation. They brought it on themselves. They should expect their daily lives to be newsworthy. Some even draw attention to themselves just to stay in the spotlight, and Britney Spears actually dated a paparazzo.

Sometimes paparazzi take it too far, for example, a paparazzo drove into Lindsay Lohan's Mercedes just to get a picture of her reaction. [2] That's just too much for one picture if you ask me. I think it's just stupid to go out of your way to get arrested just to take a picture. Although, just one picture of Britney Spears can go from $250 for a picture of her at Starbucks, to $100, 000 or more. [4]

Here's what i thought was very interesting. The "Britney Law". The following quotation was posted on February 10th 2008.
"The initiative was proposed last week by Dennis Zine, and influential politicians, in the wake of the latest Britney Spears psychiatric emergency, when her ambulance was surrounded by police cars and helicopters to shield her from a crowd of 60 photographers... The city council will debate whether stars should be 'licensed' for protection by City Hall, a permit that could eclipse court-mandated ankle bracelets- equipped with a global positioning system transmitter- as status symbols." [5]
"The singer - who's been more infamous for her custody battles, rehab visits and last year's awards shambles in the last two years - looked both hot and healthy as she took out awards for Best Female Video, Best Pop Video and Video of the Year for her single 'Piece of Me' from last year's Blackout album." [6] In my opinion Britney Spears' performance at the MTV Awards was nothing short of amazing. She definitely upped her game since the 2007 awards and I think it paid off. It was definitely a positive performance.
I think that the paparazzi in the future should back off a little bit for the whereabouts of completely stalking people, but it's their decision i guess, I'm just here to talk about it. Finally I have reached the end of my blog, i can actually try and stop this nose bleed I've been having since i first started a couple hours back.
